Rules and Requirements

  • There is no predetermined length of stay within the New Creations home. Everyone has specific life circumstances and will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
  • A basic criminal background check may be required.
  • New Creations is a smoke/tobacco, drug and alcohol-free environment. Initial and subsequent random drug testing will be conducted. Failure to submit or a failed screening may exclude or remove an individual from the New Creations program. Removal would be immediate.
  • A strong spiritual foundation and relationship with Christ is critical in our efforts to overcome our past life bondage. “Staying connected to the vine” will be an invaluable tool helping us all live a fruitful and fulfilling life. Residents in New Creations will be required to attend church services, bible studies, support groups, and other beneficial programs as scheduled by program leadership.
  • Service work is a proven method to increase our ability to live a life free of the issues and traps that kept us wound in our bondage. Christ was the ultimate example of true service. He came to serve, not to be served, and this realization helped him overcome all levels of trials. Even death on the cross! Helping others takes our thoughts off ourselves and lifts our spirit through our efforts. Residents at New Creations will be required to perform service work periodically as determined/scheduled by program management.
  • Residents are required to be ready for scheduled events on time. Any issue or difficulty in meeting a scheduled event must be communicated to program management in advance and approval granted.
  • Fighting is never tolerated. Anyone caught fighting is subject to immediate dismissal from program.
  • Residents are responsible for the cleanliness of the home.
  • Daily chores will be assigned and required to complete. Each resident is required to conduct regular work duties.
  • You may not adjust the thermostat.
  • Lights, fans, and other non-essential items must be turned off when not in use. Failure to comply may lead to additional restriction/fees.
  • There is a zero tolerance for destruction of New Creations property. Destructive behavior to the buildings, belongings, and property could result in immediate dismissal or legal actions.
  • Nothing is to be tacked, nailed, or stapled to any walls, ceilings, or furniture.
  • There is a zero tolerance for stealing. Residents are not allowed to go through other residents’ belongings. Community property supplied for the home is New Creations material. Any stealing or associated behavior may lead to dismissal or legal action.
  • While working, attending worship, bible studies, support groups, or other community locations, residents will behave as representatives of New Creations and of Jesus Christ. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Failure to comply will lead to consequences and may lead to immediate dismissal.

Fees, Supplied Amenities, and Resident Requirements

  • Monthly rent of $175 – $225. Rent will cover housing and all essential utilities (electric, gas, water, and trash).
  • Phone and cable services will not be provided and are the residents responsibility if desired.
  • The home will be primarily furnished. Most essential household items will be provided.
  • Food will be primarily the residents’ responsibility. As a non-profit entity, food aid may be available for residents and efforts to secure supplies will be on-going.
  • Basic consumables will be the responsibility of the residents. Such items include toilet paper, napkins, trash bags, and other non-essential materials.
  • Health/beauty/personal hygiene items will be the responsibility of the individual residents.
