New Creations is a continuing recovery program helping create a new beginning and new life for individuals overcoming addiction and other oppressive circumstances through safe transitional living, employment opportunities, transportation aid, life-skill development, and faith-based support services. We just closed on a house we purchased as a transitional living home for men, where we will be able to house 6-8 men. There they will be mentored and become a part of New Creations.
Addiction has no discrimination. Many places offer programs to get sober but too high of a percentage come out and because they have no place to go, they return to the same environments and end up worse than they were prior and many end up dead. Through a program called Life Changers Outreach and another called Teen Challenge, we have seen how people can be transformed and live lives they never thought were possible by the grace and love of God. The greatest successes happen when they stay connected. My husband spent a year at Life Changers and after finishing his internship, He knew God was calling him to fill a gap to help put a stop to the cycle of defeat once residents graduate. He decided not to re-enter the business management world he has been in for 25+ years and start up a transitional housing ministry to help those transition from being in a program to independent living but with accountability, brotherhood and a fresh start.
